   Are we aware of use cases that generate 1GB segment in RT? In my experience 
across various use cases in the community, any size beyond 300-500MB has high 
risk of running into issues which are costly to debug and trace back to large 
segment size (ripple effects due to OOM, consumption pause for several minutes 
etc).
   
   With segment merge/rollup and RT2OFF, smaller segments can always be turned 
into bigger ones. IMHO, it would save a lot of support cost if the tool was 
tolerant of user errors and didn't suggest sizes like 5GB (recently seen, could 
be user error).
