BigDecimal is not supported by Elasticsearch. You can convert it to a string, but ordering is not preserved, aggregation not supported (min, max, avg, etc...). I would require a custom Simple Message Transformation depending on the use-case (and available for all sink connectors), so is it interesting to hard-code this in the ES sink ? -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
