"the partitions are created in both clusters, the problem is the metadata is not updated in the remote one" It looks like there's a gap in the solution provided by #5306 or it simply has broken after the addition since the test doesn't seem to validate that the metadata gets updated in the remote cluster after increasing the number of partitions. -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
