racorn commented on issue #6432: Log automatic topic compaction failures URL: https://github.com/apache/pulsar/issues/6432#issuecomment-592427760 Yes, I am quite certain that compaction failed in TwoPhaseCompactor.phaseOneLoop as indicated here CompletableFuture<RawMessage> future = reader.readNextAsync(); scheduleTimeout(future); The readNextAsync() did not complete in 10 seconds, and the whole compaction was aborted (this could also be reported better, but that is another issue i guess).
