That means this question has two parts: 1) do we need FQFN for function metadata 2) do we want user to be able to configure FQFN in yaml file? I think it is clear that we don't want to store FQFN in as part of function metadata (which I think that is the original purpose of this change). for the second question 2), I think FQFN might be convenient on command line, but not very sure about yaml file.
