### Brief Description
The broker config form edits whole MiB (`maxMessageSizeMB: Math.round(bytes
/ 1048576)`) and the submit multiplies back. For a persisted value that is not
MiB-aligned, opening the modal and saving without touching anything rewrote the
broker's `maxMessageSize` to the rounded value. The original bytes are now
captured on open and resent while the displayed field still equals their
rounded value; only an actual edit multiplies.

days without review activity, and GitHub now rejects reopening pull requests in
this repository ("state cannot be changed"), so the same change is re-submitted
