The digest was therefore always the SHA-256 of an empty input and the SDK contract rendered as null, no matter which file was passed. Multi-file mode (-input-dir), used by the Makefile, was unaffected. Assign to the outer variable so the digest and the SDK contract are derived from the document that was actually parsed.
