David Johnson commented on ROL-1524:
------------------------------------
I don't believe Roller is forming those URL. My guess is that a search engine
is forming random URLs to your site, there's not much we can do from the Roller
perspective, except for ensure that such requests get a 404.

> Project: Roller
> Issue Type: Bug
> Components: Referers and Trackbacks
> Affects Versions: 3.0
> Environment: Linux
> Reporter: Geethanjali
> Assignee: Roller Unassigned
>
> On click of Previous link in the blog, bad links are displayed. This is not
> reproducible directly. however, we get this problem through google search.
> Example: http://www.XYZ.com/blog/username/date/185501
> Notice the date at the end of the URL. Invalid date is being appended at the
> end. How do I set the date to start from lets say '1/1/2005' ?
> Obviously we did not have blogs in the year 1855 so the bad links, because of
> which we have page rank and other SEO problems.
> Thanks in advance. Please let me know if any similar defect has been fixed
> before and let me know the fix.
