I don't think, that changing the code in a way, that modifies existing URLs is
a good idea. This will change _permenent_ links in existing weblogs. It's also
how I interpret http://youtu.be/AQcSFsQyct8 - don't change existing links.
I'd suggest, that the default value for the new property should be true (for
existing blogs, that don't have this property configured at all), while in the
default configuration, the property should be present and set to false (for
newly installed blogs).
