Actually, I think more needs to be done here. I think we can remove the
maven-install-plugin chunk in the root pom.xml, which installs our checked-in
jar file. We can also remove the checked in jar file (the whole lib directory)
and update to point to the normal maven coordinates (see link in comment above).
