When running a build on master from my home laptop, I get:

$ ./gradlew build -x test
To honour the JVM settings for this build a new JVM will be forked. Please
consider using the daemon:

Turning on --debug and --stacktrace doesn't yield any more useful information.
The build seems to work fine on my work laptop, though.
