Martin Kleppmann commented on SAMZA-486:
----------------------------------------
+1 on the patch. Thanks Chris!
IMHO we don't need to make a new release for this; it's fine if the docs are on
the website. But we can make a 0.8.1 (or generic 0.8) branch anyway, and commit
this patch both to that branch and to master. Then if we do choose to make a
0.8.1 release in future, the docs will be part of it.
On the website, it would be nice for this tutorial to appear under the 0.8
docs, not just under latest. I think the nicest solution would be to have the
docs versioned by the major-minor version (0.7, 0.8); versioning docs by patch
version (0.8.0, 0.8.1) seems like overkill. Postgres [does this
too|http://www.postgresql.org/docs/manuals/], and I think it works well.
