Thanks for the deep analysis and the heap-dump evidence. I checked the current `dev` branch, and this specific leak path is already addressed in PR #10189. The cleanup for `commitInfoCache` and `checkpointBarrierCounter` is now present in the checkpoint completion/abort path, which matches the root cause you identified here. So this looks fixed in `dev`, although released versions such as `2.3.12` can still be affected.
