Thanks for checking before starting, and thanks for not duplicating the Zendesk Source work. `Zendesk Source` is already in progress via PR #11030, so it would be better not to open a parallel slice there. Among the three options you listed, the most beginner-friendly next step is probably `Azure Cosmos DB Sink`, with one important caveat: please continue the concrete scope discussion in #10443, because that thread already has a much clearer V1 boundary for Cosmos than this umbrella issue does. Compared with Cosmos Sink, `SMB` and `SNMP` are still more greenfield in the current tree. I do not see an existing connector module or an already-narrowed first-slice boundary for those yet, so they would require more upfront protocol / client / scope decisions before review can even start. So my recommendation would be: 1. if you want the smoothest first contribution path, take `Azure Cosmos DB Sink` 2. keep the first PR `sink-only`, not source + sink together 3. continue the detailed scope alignment in #10443 before coding If you would rather start from a completely fresh connector and do not mind more setup/design work, SMB or SNMP are still open, but in practice they are less beginner-friendly than Cosmos Sink right now. -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
