Thanks for digging into the Iceberg large-batch OOM path. This is a meaningful problem to work on, and the idea in this draft is worth continuing. This PR has been quiet for a while and is still in draft state. When you have time, could you please refresh it against the latest `dev` branch and update the draft with the remaining validation, test, and docs work you still plan to complete? That will make it much easier for us to help review or continue from the current branch. Please keep going when you can.
