Hi @dybyte, thank you for exploring RocksDB-backed engine state and for taking on a difficult architectural area. The motivation to reduce direct Hazelcast `IMap` dependence remains valuable, and this PR helped start an important conversation about state-store boundaries. Since then, #10812 has been merged and introduced the `StateStore` abstraction that now defines the supported integration boundary. The direct wiring in this older branch no longer fits that architecture, so a future RocksDB implementation should be built as an implementation of the new abstraction rather than continued from this diff. We are closing this PR so future work can start cleanly from the current architecture. We deeply appreciate the exploration here and would be glad to see the RocksDB idea return on top of the new state-store contract. -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
