One correction to the review I just posted: after publishing it, I rechecked the GitHub merge metadata and GitHub is currently reporting this PR as `DIRTY`, so there are merge conflicts against the latest `dev`. That makes the next step even more concrete: please sync with the latest `dev` and resolve the merge conflicts first, while keeping the PR focused on the DB2 CDC diff.
