I traced the exception to the configured driver/protocol combination rather than MariaDB 11.4 support in the MySQL dialect. The reported configuration uses: ```hocon url = "jdbc:mysql://..." driver = "com.mysql.cj.jdbc.Driver" ``` That combination selects `MySqlDialectFactory`, which passes the server version to `MySqlVersion.parse`. The MariaDB version string `11.4.7-4-MariaDB-enterprise-log` is therefore correctly rejected as an unsupported **MySQL** version. MariaDB should use its own Connector/J protocol and driver: ```hocon url = "jdbc:mariadb://host:port/database" driver = "org.mariadb.jdbc.Driver" ``` I opened #11604 to add this configuration and warning to the JDBC source/sink documentation in both English and Chinese. A runtime change that treats MariaDB 11.x as a MySQL version would be the wrong fix boundary. -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
