Confirmed: the SqlServer-CDC source parses base-url only for
host/port/database and does not propagate additional JDBC properties like
encrypt/trustServerCertificate to Debezium's SqlServerConnection, which
constructs its own URL. This can fail against servers requiring (or rejecting)
encryption.
As a possible workaround, try passing driver properties via the connector's
`debezium` options block (e.g. `debezium { "database.encrypt" = "true"
"database.trustServerCertificate" = "true" }`) and report whether they take
effect in 2.3.8.
Proposed fix: parse query parameters from base-url (or add a dedicated
connection-properties option) and forward them to the Debezium JDBC connection
factory. A PR contribution would be welcome; please also include the full stack
trace of the SSL error to aid verification.
