Confirmed: the Dameng type converter (DmdbTypeConverter / DamengTypeMapper in connector-jdbc) does not handle NVARCHAR2. Fix would be to map NVARCHAR2 to STRING similar to VARCHAR2/NVARCHAR handling, including proper length semantics (character vs byte length). As a workaround until fixed, you can cast the column in a query-based source (e.g., SELECT CAST(col AS VARCHAR2(n)) ...) instead of using table_list, or define the schema manually. This is marked as a good first issue — a contribution adding NVARCHAR2 support to the DM type converter plus a unit test in connector-jdbc would be welcome.
