This issue is caused by the `connection-test-query` config in the `properties` block not being properly applied to the HikariCP connection pool. The `addDataSourceProperty()` method passes properties to the JDBC DataSource, not to HikariCP's pool configuration — the `setConnectionTestQuery()` method must be used instead. I've submitted PR #11771 that fixes this: the `applyConnectionValidation()` method now checks the user's `properties` config for `connectionTestQuery`/`connection-test-query` keys and applies them to the HikariCP pool directly.
