Opened PR #11827 for this. It overrides prepareCommit() in PrometheusWriter to flush the buffer (matching the sibling FlushSignal sinks), adds a unit test for the checkpoint-flush path, and updates the Prometheus docs and incompatible-changes note (EN and ZH) to describe the behavior as checkpoint-bounded. @DanielLeens -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
