Checked why the Aug 10 CI run on this head ended `cancelled`: the only genuinely failed job was `kafka-connector-it (8, ubuntu-latest)` — the recurring kafka container flake — and the two `kudu-connector-it` "cancelled" entries are just fail-fast collateral from that failure. 67 jobs succeeded, including the checkpoint-storage unit tests this PR actually touches. Since Actions can't be re-run on this fork by non-owners, I've pushed a fresh `upstream/dev` sync (54 commits, clean auto-merge, PR diff unchanged — still the aws-sdk version bump, docs, and tests) to retrigger CI. -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
