@DanielLeens I traced the INITIAL snapshot path on current `dev`. The `_id INT` text in the log is placeholder split metadata. The actual snapshot bounds still use native BSON values. The current snapshot catch drops the MongoDB driver exception, so the report cannot show whether the server rejected the bounds, hint, TLS or topology configuration, or another option. I prepared a narrow change that preserves the original exception without changing the snapshot query or boundaries #11880 This change preserves the original MongoDB driver error instead of hiding it behind the generic Illegal argument message. The issue should remain open until the reporter tests this branch and shares the new nested exception, which will help identify the actual snapshot fix. -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
