Thanks @DanielLeens. Both negative cases now use 5s, with two-minute same-thread test guards. Added builder Javadoc, readiness-budget debug logging, and EN/ZH guidance on excessive values; kept the positive-value contract without an arbitrary upper cap. The PR description now clarifies Java serialization, not checkpoint restoration. On Java 8 and 11, all 37 unit tests and two fresh integration runs per JDK passed (local Server 7.6.2).
