Thanks @SEZ9 — nothing to add, this matches what I had in mind too. Agreed the blocking set is F1, F2 and F4 plus the missing timeout/interrupt/cancel test coverage, with F3, F5, F6 and F7 as the non-blocking follow-ups you itemized.
