Thanks @nzw921rx for the independent look. One update since my last comment: GitHub now reports this PR as `CONFLICTING`/`DIRTY` against `dev` (head is still `ea8725794`, no new commit here — `dev` has moved on since). The CI-green and contract-unchanged conclusion from my 09-05 comment still stands for that commit, but it'll need a rebase/merge-with-dev before anyone can actually merge it. @davidzollo, could you sync with `dev` and resolve the conflict?
