Thanks again for the upstream reproduction and for keeping #12264 test-only. To summarize where this stands: #12264 is the right place to validate the reproducer. Its Build check is currently failing, so please get that PR CI-clean first, and keep the first review focused on the two-writer failure and the single-writer control without changing production behavior. The reproducer should make clear which current path sends the same key to conflicting writers for the fixed-bucket case. Any fix should come in a separate PR that defines writer ownership for fixed buckets across parallel writers, preserves checkpoint and restore behavior, and covers the same two-writer cases plus recovery.
