Confirmed against the shared API implementation. `getArrayMapNotNullSize` dereferences null map elements, and `getBytesForArray` has no `ROW` branch, so schema-aware row arrays contribute zero before the cached size is reused. That explains both the collection failure and the under-counted byte-rate metrics. PR #12305 makes the narrow shared calculation correction and includes API, JSON, collector and embedded Zeta coverage. The speed-limit documentation is in scope because byte-rate admission consumes this estimate; it correctly describes an estimate rather than serialized-wire size. Its Build remains in progress, so this issue stays open pending CI and review.
