## Purpose Keep text-file line endings deterministic across Linux, macOS, and Windows checkouts, including when Windows users enable `core.autocrlf=true`. Without a repository-wide rule, extensionless scripts such as `mvnw` and files such as `config/jvm*_options` can be checked out as CRLF and then copied into release packages with platform-dependent line endings. ## Changes - normalize all files detected by Git as text to LF - preserve CRLF for Windows `.cmd` and `.bat` scripts - renormalize the three existing third-party license text files that were stored as CRLF Binary files remain unaffected because the default rule uses `text=auto`. ## Validation - `./mvnw spotless:apply` - `git diff --check` - `git diff --cached --check` - verified `mvnw`, `config/jvm_options`, and `config/jvm*_options` resolve to `text=auto eol=lf` - verified `.cmd` files resolve to `text eol=crlf` - ran `git add --renormalize .` and reviewed the complete resulting diff Maven `verify` was not run due to the local agent's execution boundary; this metadata-only change is covered by the repository CI run. -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
