Thanks for the report. The gap is confirmed on current `dev`: `JdbcSourceReader.close()` reaches `JdbcInputFormat.closeInputFormat()`, which closes the `ResultSet` and `Statement` but never calls `Statement.cancel()`, so a driver blocked in `executeQuery()` or `ResultSet.next()` can hold up the close path. A focused connector PR is welcome. Please keep it scoped to the generic JDBC source cancellation hook in the `JdbcInputFormat` cleanup path: cancel the active statement before normal resource closure, tolerate drivers that reject or ignore `cancel()`, preserve the existing transaction-cleanup order, avoid database-specific timeout defaults, and do not add a new configuration option. For tests, add a deterministic unit test for cancel-before-close, plus an integration regression with a supported driver and a deliberately in-flight query that asserts cancellation completes and resources are cleaned up. Please link the PR here first so we keep a single implementation path. <!-- streview-comment:1239 --> -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
