The focused fix is in #12541. It changes only DuckDB's TIME read/write overrides and includes separate Source and Sink regressions; the PR records the JDK 8/17 and timezone validation. The truncation mechanism is shared by dialects that inherit the default TIME handling: the write path calls `java.sql.Time.valueOf(LocalTime)` before handing the value to the driver, and the read path converts `java.sql.Time` back to `LocalTime`. Those conversions cannot preserve the original fractional seconds. Dialects with their own overrides can behave differently. I have verified the DuckDB driver behavior, not every database driver, so this PR stays DuckDB-only; a shared change would need driver-specific regressions and compatibility checks. -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
