Thanks for the detailed report and measurement. Agreed that the two truncation paths in `cli.py` are inconsistent (`proc.stdout[-3000:]` vs `error_text[:3000]`), and that for a Java trace the tail is what carries the `ErrorCode` and innermost `Caused by`. Since #12628 already takes the approach of parsing the full error with `parse_error()` first and then keeping the tail, with regression tests for the >3000-character case, let's track the fix there and keep this issue open until it merges.
