I checked both paths on `dev` at `b0f6fedd` and have a focused patch for this follow-up. With the real Hazelcast serialization service, a same-factory/different-class payload carrying TaskLocation-compatible field bytes is accepted by the typed-override path. The unchecked split path instead throws a ClassCastException. Null handling also lacks the requested read-site IOException contract. The six new checks fail in four cases on the unchanged implementation and all pass after reading the wire-selected object and validating it. The two valid round trips re-encode to identical bytes, including split contents. The focused serialization run has 25 tests, zero failures/errors and one existing skipped checkpoint test; module formatting and skip-tests verify pass. I will link the PR here. No live-cluster or full engine-suite result is claimed. -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
