Hi @SEZ9, yes — exactly: my F5 was referring to your F7, i.e. replaying a WAL frame actually written by a pre-#9689 release rather than one produced by the current WALWriter. Producing a genuine old-format fixture needs a build from the pre-relocation release line, so I'd prefer to keep it as a follow-up once this shim lands.
