Classification: A / Connector-V2 JDBC PostgreSQL numeric handling. The shared `JdbcFieldTypeUtils.getBigDecimal(...)` currently delegates directly to `ResultSet.getBigDecimal`, and the PostgreSQL converter reaches that path. The proposed opt-in boundary is therefore the right one: normal behavior must remain unchanged unless a user explicitly requests `numeric_special_value_as_null`. #12792 is now the single implementation and review surface. Keep its scope limited to PostgreSQL-compatible paths, preserve unrelated driver exceptions, and cover text-mode `SQLException`, binary-mode `ClassCastException`, disabled-option behavior, and ordinary numeric values. The configuration and EN/ZH documentation must state that the option converts only the three non-BigDecimal special values to null. Please continue technical follow-up on that PR rather than starting another patch. -- This is an automated message from the Apache Git Service.
