Updated this PR against current dev and completed the scheduler lifecycle follow-up in 0e6768c328d59c4b0e9bc9c214d9c6d746e971ce. Trigger scheduling keeps both terminal-shutdown rejection handling and dev's propagation of asynchronous trigger errors; the checkpoint-timeout watchdog now also records a late terminal-shutdown rejection. Both new lifecycle unit tests always cancel their coordinator during cleanup. The existing real master-failover IT still proves checkpoints progress after recovery and now checks the exact recovered coordinator's scheduler is shut down after cancellation, before server shutdown can hide it.
