Confirmed on the official 2.3.13 binary with its matching Kafka connector,
Java 11 and `confluentinc/cp-kafka:7.0.9`. I used 100 distinct text records in
a two-partition Kafka source (`max.poll.records=1`), a one-partition sink,
`EXACTLY_ONCE`, and a common configured prefix for the parallel writers.

With parallelism 1, all 100 expected records were visible to
`read_committed`, with no fencing. With parallelism 2, the logs contained
`ProducerFencedException`, but the job reported `FINISHED`, 100 read and 100
written, and the command exited 0. Only 50 distinct records were visible to
`read_committed`. Each run had its own sink topic and prefix, so the two runs
could not fence one another.
