This is the non-spherical case of Equidistant Cylindrical projection, which is
more complicated than one may think. This projection needs to be implemented
from scratch using the formulas in §1.3.14 of IOGP Publication 373-7-2 –
Geomatics Guidance Note number 7, part 2 – April 2015.
