Ported from Geotk after IP review and rewriting equations using §1.3.1.1 of
IOGP Publication 373-7-2 – Geomatics Guidance Note number 7, part 2 – April
2015 as the source. In particular we use the same series expansion than the one
which has been written for the Mercator projection.
