Implement the Gnomonic projection, where geodesics are straight lines. Formulas
for the sphere are given in Snyder. Formulas for the ellipsoid are impossible,
but Charles F. F. Karney in [Algorithms for geodesics (SRI
International)|https://link.springer.com/content/pdf/10.1007%2Fs00190-012-0578-z.pdf]
gives a form where straight lines are very close to geodesics.
