Karaf installation Page added by Jeffrey Ricker It is easy to install Sling in Apache Karaf. Note that Karaf and Felix are completely compatible. This installation provides an OSGi-pure application without the need for the standalone launcher jar. Download Karaf from http://karaf.apache.org/index/community/download.html Unzip Karaf where you want to run the application. Launch Karaf with bin/karaf.bat or bin/karaf.sh Install the webconsole. From the Karaf shell, type features:install webconsole Add the Sling feature features:addurl mvn:org.apache.sling/org.apache.sling.launchpad/6/xml/features Install Sling features:install sling That's it. If you point to http://localhost:8181 you should see the Sling home page. As an added bonus, you now have the deploy directory. Just drag bundles into the directory to have them installed.
