The issue can be solved by modifying the piece of code starting at line 85
if (arg2 instanceof Variable) {
object = new ResourceOrVariable((Variable) arg2);
} else if (dt instanceof Literal) {
object = new ResourceOrVariable((Literal) arg2);
} else {
throw new RuleAtomCallExeption(getClass());
}
with the following
if (arg2 instanceof Variable) {
object = new ResourceOrVariable((Variable) arg2);
} else if (arg2 instanceof LiteralExpression) {
object = new ResourceOrVariable(((LiteralExpression) arg2).getLiteral());
} else {
