Indeed, the initial fix to TAP5-2588 broke the fix for this ticket (TAP5-2582).
I've just pushed a new Tapestry 5.5.0 snapshot to the Apache snapshots
repository: https://repository.apache.org/content/repositories/snapshots/.
Could you please verify whether this fix the issue on your end?
