GumpacG opened a new pull request, #3704:
URL: https://github.com/apache/tinkerpop/pull/3704
## Problem
Each upgrade release-line file opens with a heading named after that line's
`.0` release, and the
release itself repeats the identical text later in the same file:
```
docs/src/upgrade/release-3.7.x.asciidoc
line 21: = TinkerPop 3.7.0 <- the whole 3.7.x series
line 1052: == TinkerPop 3.7.0 <- the 3.7.0 release
```
`llms.txt` derives both a page's title and its file name from that heading,
so 3.1 through 3.7 each
produced two entries indistinguishable by title, separated only by
Asciidoctor's duplicate-id
counter:
```
- [TinkerPop 3.7.0](upgrade/_tinkerpop_3_7_0.md): ... the TinkerPop 3.7.x
release line ...
- [TinkerPop 3.7.0](upgrade/_tinkerpop_3_7_0_2.md): ... specific to the
TinkerPop 3.7.0 release ...
```
That counter encodes document position, not content:
`_upgrading_for_providers_10` means "the 10th
heading titled Upgrading for Providers", so adding a release above it
silently repoints the URL.
## Changes
Nine lines, eight files, no code. Eight release-line headings renamed (`=
TinkerPop 3.7.0` to
`= TinkerPop 3.7.x`), which makes the text unique so Asciidoctor stops
appending a counter, plus an
explicit `[[upgrade-3.5.0-providers]]` anchor on the only `Upgrading for
...` section that becomes
its own page.
## Result
Generated `## upgrade` section, every title and URL now unique:
```
