Richard Monson-Haefel commented on TOMEE-2300:
----------------------------------------------
Well, I promised to be the poster boy for N00b questions so here it goes:
I'm unfamiliar with the jbake stuff. When I tried to find the jbake directory
in my local git copy (just updated a few minutes ago) I could not find it. Is
it already in the TomEE git repository? Should I be pulling from a fork
somewhere?
Also, I don't understand the idea here. I wanted to create a document that
guides people new to TomEE (and open source) to contribute. The page that you
have attached as a GIF to this ticket doesn't look like that type of document.
So, lets pretend I can write but I'm clueless about the structure of the
project and jbake (because I am). What exactly should I do to start making new
documentation?

> Current [Community|http://tomee.apache.org/community/index.html] section can
> be improved to facilitate the learning curve for new committers.
> It also would help to better structure future contributing guidelines for
> both website and TomEE project.
