h1. Pick and Choose Modules for your environment
This page can be used by those who would like to pick and choose pieces of
Tuscany and embed it with their software. It outlines dependencies amongst
modules and identifies what is the minimum needed to get specific SCA features.

At the moment (on September 9th, 2008), Tuscany distributes one binary
distribution that includes everything. We are in the process of changing it so
that the user has an option to either pick up everything or smaller features
(smaller distributions geared towards a funcitonal package). Please see
discussions on the mailing list.

An implementaiton of various features is currently available at [this
location|http://svn.apache.org/repos/asf/tuscany/java/sca/distribution/features/].
  We assume that these feature sets address majority of our users' need, but
also realize that there might be a need for smaller features or a combination
of features. Therefore, we explain what is available and also explain how one
can drive to creating features or functional packages that are tailored for
their business need.

Here are the available [feature types
|http://svn.apache.org/repos/asf/tuscany/java/sca/distribution/features/] at
the moment:
* *all* - includes everything
* *core* - _Required_
This package includes support for building applications based on Java
components and also exposes SPIs for extending Tuscany SCA to include
extensions such as binding types, implementation types, policies.
** Included in this package:
Binding: Default binding through Corba
data types: Jaxb

* *ejava* - enterprise java
* *manager* -
* *process*
* *repository*
* *web20*
* *webservice*
