@areusch Just as a hint for the context of that issue, that's the one we've discussed a week ago when I was using the RVM to test the Project API and was switching back and forth testing Zephyr on disco board inside the RVM and outside it (on my host) and the tests on the hosts started to fail with mysterious messages, then I found a RVM was left running without notice and locking the USB device. cc @mehrdadh as well.
