Wicket Tags confuse firefox on ajax request

When ajax response contains wicket tags (such as <wicket:panel>) Firefox is
sometimes confused and interprets the response wrong. This also happen in opera
(even more often). I don't see any reason why the wicket tags shouldn't be
stripped on ajax requests.
