Cant close an old ModalWindow and open a new in one AjaxRequest

I have a ModalWindow for some confirmation action. After that confirmation, i
want to close the window and open an other modalwindow. The ConfirmWindow can
be also opened from a ModalWindow. So i need this extra ModalWindow.
The Problem: The Close javascript uses a timeout, but the open -javascript dont.
My fix for this solution:
private String getWindowOpenJavascript(){...
postProcessSettings(buffer);
buffer.append("window.current.setTimeout(function() {
Wicket.Window.create(settings).show();
}, 0);\n");
return buffer.toString();
..
